I'm looking for someone to ride with me during the weekends, preferably north. I just bought a new road bike, so I am new to the sport. I would ride during the week but with work, my 9-month-old son, husband and early evenings it's just not possible. Any response would be appreciated.

I'm usually an off-roadie on the weekends, but wouldn't mind doing some weekend road rides every once in a while.

I live up in north Austin. I consider myself a newbie at this roadie stuff too. Hopefully, my husband will be getting a road bike soon, so perhaps he could join us...

I probably wouldn't be able to do road rides every weekend - but please let me know when you plan to go for a ride!

Hey are either of you planning on going to the Ride like a girl this sunday at Rocky Hill Ranch? Tracy is planning on going but I'm on call so I won't be able to drive her. If either or both are interested to car pool she can either take the TJ or WRX.

I know Jody this is the Roadie site but if Daizee doesn't know I'm cross posting I can't get in trouble.:D

Between Griz and Daizee I should change my name to lost and confused. Sort of like cyclecross. Is is roadie or MTB type of post. We should have an elitist site so Griz will leave me alone.:D

It's all about two wheels and being outside. Hell if I had better balance it could be about 1 wheel but then where would I post without haveing the mojo gastapo breathing down my neck.(griz and daizee),;)

hey, you're just feeling the backlash thats been extended from that damn elitist mtb board. I post one little thread about mtbers going out on an organized road ride and I catch all sorts of hell. Now I've been relegated to this dreary board which probably averages 0.67 users/day.

you're catching hell because we wouldn't want to leave anyone out!

Being new and all to the sport, is it considered a faux pas to combine both mtb and road:confused:

No it is not French.:D

It's just that we have so friendly harrassment going on. Daizee the Emma queen won't join us any more for road rides because she got her hair wet on the bakery ride once. Griz got in trouble for posting about another roadie ride.

G- is a cross-poster! Better than being a cross-dresser!
:p

I do plan on going on that RLAG ride on Sunday, so if Tracy wants to carpool, that's just dandy with me. It doesn't really matter to me who drives. I'll PM you with my information to pass on to Tracy.
