This Saturday - the first TXBRA event of 2003. The big questions: How much did you eat this winter? How much have your buddies ridden? Find out!

The December 22nd event was a success and if you weren't there you missed a
classic and unique cyclocross course - high speeds, tricky turns, and the
now infamous 'downed oak tree' barrier.

But all is not lost...

This Saturday January 11, 2003 we're having the 2nd race of the series at
Richard Moya Park and the weather is slated to be perfect! We'd love to have
you out racing this Saturday, so prep that road bike with some knobbies,
dust of the CX machine, grab your mountain bike (but remove the bar ends!)
or just grab a picnic lunch and spectate in one of Austin's coolest parks.

Added bonus! We'll be distributing information on the 3rd Annual Dirt Road
Classic - a mass start road ride/race south of Llano, Tx on smooth dirt
roads and rough pavement. More money up for grabs not mention the honor, glory, and Hall of Fame status alongside Patrick McCarty and Tinker Juarez as Dirt Road Classic victors.

Shoot me an e-mail with any questions.

I am definitely doing this if we get some nasty weather. I'm hoping for rain and cold temps. Then it will be more like a cyclocross race and less like a grass crit.

don't know if anyone will see this or not but........

I live pretty close to Richard Moyo and it just started raining lightly at 8:05 am. And it has steadily picked up over the last 10-15 minutes. So be prepared for some slick conditions. With temps around 40-45 degrees, this should turn out to be a stellar event. Just like cross is supposed to be.

Thanks to those that attended and made possible what was probally the coolest CX event of the entire year.

What more could you ask for? Cold and variable drizzle, greasy corners, slick logs, sand pits, greasy corners, slick sections, and the "Corner" - you couldn't run it/ride it/walk it/hide from it.

Thanks to the UYS volunteers, Bicycle Heaven, Bicycle Sport Shop, our officals, and everyone else who stood around the fire trying to keep warm
