View Full Version : Ride Sunday?
Talked to Oldschool about a 50 mile or so ride Sunday. We can decide on the course after we get some people. So far it will be the modified city loop, long dam loop, or a ride to San Marcos and back. Anyone interested post.:)

I am interested.
I wouldn't mind doing some sort of Dam loop or perhaps a bee caves/SW parkway/360 ride.

I'm really anxious to get some miles on the road as the last ride was on NY's Day 70 miles. Since then it's been me and the rollars. How about a 25-30 on Saturday anytime... and then a long 50+ on Sunday. I really liked the part of that ride around the city that went by that big ass damn, so I'm cool for that again, or maybe something different.
Hey G-... has anyone called RJS to see if he's back and up for a ride? We need him on this too.
PM'd RJS last night. He's responded with the point he wanted to ride off road but that Sunday looks like "crappy weather" 50's and 40% chance of rain which means bad for trails but good for road. He still needs a little time to make a decision. How about a roadie night ride tomorrow night 7:30 or so. I should be off work about 6 or so. Maybe even tonight. Have my stuff in van so give me a call. :D
if the weather is really sh*%ty on Sunday, I will probably skip the NB ride and join you guys. keep me posted on the when and the where!
Okay, the weather is really s#!tty. So does this mean the ride is on for Sunday or is everyone going to act like a panzy roadie and not ride. I know you cyclecross guys have got to be in. Those were some tough obstacles today ya'll were dealing with. Hey, how about holding a cyclecross Skillz clinic. Oldschool you up to learning. It's another activity we can do on bikes.:D
I am up for just about anything. I think I will wait and see what is falling from the skies in the morning and then decide what to do. G-, Singlespeedster, Oldschooler and anyone else: why don't we exchange phone #'s via PM and then we can just call each other in the morning and make a decision on when, where, what to ride.
Sounds good. I'll talk to Shawn tonight to get an idea of how he feel from his ride today. Here's my #844-6801 it's always on 24 hours cause of work so I don't care if anyone gets it. Pm Shawn or me your number and I'll call about 9 and we can make plans.
Cool I'll give you a ride in the morning. Do you think John will join us also?

Possibly. A slow ride tomorrow might be cool. My cell is 771-3822. I am not sure what to do tomorrow. I may just take a rest day. I'm still trying to warm up from today :)
Hey Griz, It looks like that guy who killed us today is some 16 year-old wonderkid. I bet we'll see big things from him in a few years.

I saw a few intrepid (or stupid?) souls out riding the dam loop in the rain and cold today - burrrrr.
Call (249-8384)/post if you guys decide to ride somewhere local tomorrow.

OK, so my butt, my fingers and my toes are still blue from our ride today. I had such a freaken great time that I can't wait to punish myself like that again tomarrow. I say let's get out there at around 6:30 before the sun comes up so it will be just a few degrees cooler.
Somebody just needs to call me and tell me what time to be where, but give me enough time to fill up my water bottles with ice, cause I hate luke warm water when I'm on the bike!

its 8 am and pouring rain. check back at 10 am and we'll see if there is any improvement.
Okay, I'll check back around 10. It looks like it will have to be an early afternoon ride so far. Hopefully this will have a chance to burn off some.

Well Excuuuussseee me!
Damn elitest roady bastard!
If your going to call people names get it right. I'm a FS, SS, TCR riding elitist b@st@rd.:p
Also if there was a CX race today instead of yesterday you could add that also. Man that was soooo cool to watch yesterday. Maybe if the weather doesn't get any better we can throw together a Mojo CX race tonight.

No more cross for me for a bit. After 3 hours of scrubbing sand off of every inch of my bike, I need to order new brake pads and a rear derailleur. Ah well, it was worth it.
