a 40" fifth wheel with flow-thru ventilation, perfect for those last minute camping trips . . .

It was a very long day.
Anybody in the market for a big ass trailer? :eyebrow:

Man, all a guy would need is a big ass truck and 99 friends. I've got neither.

Oh, it was video worthy when I toppled the structure. That was cool.
I was at the front holding onto some of the last semi-attached pieces of aluminum siding and just started rocking it back and forth until it all folded over to the side onto the ground. It was kinda slow motion-ish. It would have been totally possible to have been standing on the roof and surf it down.
Walking around inside getting all the wiring and insulation out while the whole rig wiggled back and forth with me in it, not so cool, but a weird, twisted thrill just the same. Just glad it wasn't windy.

The pics aren't visible in the thread?
I can see them, but nobody else can?
Crap! I may never figure out how to do that.

I thought I had done that already.
When I view the thread, I see the photos.
I would like to buy a clue.

Yes. I think the roof on that trailer may have been leaking a bit. ;)

There were one or two seeps . . .
The walls leaked, the windows leaked, I think even the floor absorbed water from the air and ground.
There was an entire ecosystem growing inside. I'd never seen bright, healthy, green insulation like this rig had developed. (glad I didn't do an environmental impact study or a survey for endangered species)
On the bright side, I learned a lot about travel trailer construction and will be better prepared next time I go shopping for one.
Roof that drains water (crowned and/or pitched). . . check
Aluminum framing (no wood framing in the walls or roof) . . . check
One piece rubber roofing . . . check
Laminated panel exterior walls (no formed aluminum sheet siding) . . . check
Marine grade flooring . . . check
I must say that it was waterproof . . .
Murphy's definition of "waterproof" is that once water gets in it can't get out.

Working with the Navy they had a saying -
If you hermetically seal something to keep the water out - make sure you put a drain hole in it so the water can get back out...
