View Full Version : bakery ride parking 411
for those of us who have been driving to the bakery ride.......
the manager asked me very politely after our ride last week if we would be sure to park on the side streets and not leave our cars in the lot. I admit that I was violating this, but I will be sure to park elsewhere in the coming weeks.
I do recall Anthony saying that we should park elsewhere but I thought he was just trying to make us work harder!

I parked in the bakery parking lot the first time I rode with the group, but since then, I've been parking on 46th street. Lester does too. You should easily be able to find parking around there...

Thanks, Matt. Didn't know 'bout their limited parking.
By the way, when we were riding north on Shoal Creek, the group road three abreast as a long line of patient morning commuters followed. That road easily accommodates riders and cars yet we were all the way over to the double yellow line chatting. We weren’t even pedaling with any kind of effort or form. Same thing riding south.
Just an observation :)
yeah, I have noticed that. perhaps we can begin to work on developing a more elegant riding formation......perhaps 2 abreast and try and keep it close together and towards the shoulder.

hehe, I usually park on 46th st. A couple of times one of the home owners has come out while I was loading up to go home, he seemed to think I was strange but didn't seem to mind me being there.
This last time, I parked at the randalls on 35th so that I could get a little bit of a warm up on the way to the bakery.
