Kara Way under construction

the bull dozes got a little wild and took out a bit of KARA Way, Frank the dozer guy and I walk out a new trail that they are going to cut. Hopefully it will be done in the next few weeks, in the time being, when you get to the gravel yard,go slightly right and look for some orange tape, we try to show the openning of the old KW.

Grey was telling me about that. Appearantly the person in charge, who had been instructed to avoid removing any trail, neglected to pass on this tidbit of info to the operator du jure.

Hopefully this will be the last incursion onto the trails. (fingers crossed)

Okay, I rode that "new" section on KaraWay and that is a good example of why not to let a bulldozer operator make new "trail."

It looks like they used no less than a four foot blade, and scraped any/all riding surface away, leaving a long stretch of loose, churned up sand. Ugh! It will likely get worse after a rain.

Maybe I'll get an itch to cut some singletrack in through the trees to bypass this mess.

In the mean time just make the best of it. It's not too long a stretch.
