I have a Redline Proline 24" cruiser. I'm curious if I can put a fixed gear cog on the rear hub and make it a fixed gear. It seems like I could since it doesn't use a freehub. I don't know if I would do this, just curious if it's possible.

Good question. I'm gonna try to put a freewheel on my fixed hub and see what happens. I'll let you know if no one else posts until then.

One thing you might want to consider when using a fixed gear, is that it will always turn the pedals as long as the rear wheel is turning. That is the beauty of freehubs in that when you want to stop pedaling you can, or if you need to set up your pedals for a jump etc... you can. It is almost impossible to do those with a fixed hub.
