???
its a definite probably. since GVGP will be my first road race, I want to see how much I enjoy it and then make a decision about pacebend. Assuming I love it, I will be doing the pacebend race.

what's GVGP?
what cat are you guys?
i've never done a road race and was thinking about trying it out.
green valley grand prix. check out the calendar on txbra.org. its not one of the point series races, but its close by (New Braunfels) and looks like fun. There are two installations of the same race.
the first one is this sunday 1/26/03 but cat 5 has already filled up (cat 5 has a 50 rider max). there has been discussion that they may open a second cat 5 field but I'm not sure if that has been determined yet or not.
the second installment is the following weekend, 2/1/03. same place, same time etc and cat 5 still has many open spots remaining.
FYI Rob Kane has been promoting this race and has put up several posts here and on the Raspa road board.
Ray and myself (Matt) are both Cat 5

rays a 5?:) :p
i think i saw kyle was in there too. do i even need to say the word:p
yeah, there really isn't a beginner class in road racing because everyone needs to get their 10 races prior to moving up to cat 4. therefore, cat 5 includes expert mtb racers like Tioga and Kevin H. and Sergio S. and those are just the ones I know cause I'm an mtb racer. I'm sure there will some strong tri and road racers in the mix as well.
cool thing is, if you beat them then you can brag to all your friends for a day. :D

The club I ride with, UYS is putting it on. So I'm planning on driving a follow vehicle for the Masters 45/55+ too. Looking forward to it.
