Anyone? Big Sky, I noticed you placed in the top 15, how was it? Only thing I heard was that it was windy and the dogs chased every lap!

Yeah, that big rottweiler and I go way back. He's even badder when you're coming from the opposite direction. He's right at the top of a hill and its a lot harder travelling west. Anyway, I was out on a solo ride one day and he was on me like that. I swerved into an adjacent open field and kept my bike between me and him. I commanded "no" and "go home" which actually worked...temporarily. At least by this time i had time to get my hand on my pepper spray. As I started to ride off, here he came again. I sprayed him as I was riding off, but that didn't seem to faze him, might have made him madder. But at least I was now cruisin down hill and could out run him. I'm always ready for him now.

As for the wind, there was none. At least not until after our race. The race was fun, DJames and I were hangin in there with the pack. Then with about 1 - 2 mi. to go, this dude who had been super squirelly the whole race finally lost it taking at least 2 others with him. I had to swerve to avoid the carnage and in doing so, lost contact with the pack. DJames must have been slowed by the crash too as he caught bak up to myself and one other. We had a nice 3 up sprint for 14th place :p , with DJames edging me out by a wheel.

Any other mojo reports? DJames, were you caught up in the crash?

Nope. Dodged that bullet. I heard the tires whistle and laid on the brakes as two racers went down in front of me. These guys were sliding on chip seal at 23 mph. Small metal pieces were flipping slowly thru the air.
