Went out today and did a little weeding with my wacker. There is a nice little loop on the right side of the pond.( there some bottles on sticks to mark the trail.) Its still a little overgrown, but Im planning to go out again and do some more wackin'. If any body that lives in the vicinity wants to go clean some trails, we can plan a date and time.
Rene: David told me about the loop marked with the bottles on sticks. I believe you rode this with him a short while back. He liked the hell out of it and wondered who originally cleared the loop out. Was it you?
Wish I could clean trail and check the area out with you this week, but I'm tied up with helping my father and preparing for a bass tournament this weekend. Maybe next week we can get together, eh? I'm itchin and twitchin to ride.
Yeah, Dan, just let me know when you want to get out there. The first time I went out there, it was with David and myself. We were guided by the creator of that loop. He apparently lives in the area and cut it out last winter. I wish I can remember his name, but I told him about our club and the Mojo site. He said he'll check into it. Anyway, there is potential to add some more track to the loop to make it longer. Ill be out there next week to do some cutting.

Are there any days for trail work for this area? I know Trapper has done alot of work out there but didn't know if there was anything happening soon.
Right now the best trailwork is to clear branches and weed whack. Lot's of people are starting to do that out there. I have been working with people on the weekend to get the Perimeter Loop cleaned up for the TTs. I'll probably schedule a real workday after the TTs have been run.

Thanks for the work guys. It makes a huge difference - especially gittin' rid the the welt-raising weeds in that area. It's alot more fast & fun without wondering where the trail is!!

Thank you Charlie for all of the weed-eating you and Dickerson have done out there recently. We all benefit from each other. That's one of the best aspects of mountain biking.

Make sure you post up the work days well in advance. I want to get some hours in over there, but I book up bike events weeks in advance if I don't get plenty of notice. OP Rocks!
