View Full Version : what races count towards your 10?
question for any seasoned roadies out there......do any of the informal criterium races such as the Tuesday nighter or the Wednesday night crit series (at McKinney Falls I believe) count towards the 10 mass start races needed to upgrade to Cat 4?
I have a hunch that the answer is 'no' but I'd like to know for sure.

The McKinney Falls Crits which are actual USCF events, are techincally too short (only 30 minutes not 45), however, I listed one as part of my 10 and had my upgrade granted way back when. I think Bonnie would still probaby grant you your upgrade based on completing a few of those crits towards your 10.
The Tuesday Nighter which is informal cannot count.
when do the McKinney Falls crits start?
and would the Violet Crown crit series count as well?

I think McKinney Falls is going to start the first wednesday after Daylight Savings time returns... Yeah my one weekday crit was actually a VC Expo center crit, I was being lazy and refering to weekday crits in general.

As far as I can tell, this is the list of races that'll count:
Fayetteville Stage Race - Saturday
Fayetteville Stage Race - Sunday
Waco Heritage Bike Race
Copperas Cove Road Race
Ft Davis Hammerfest - Saturday
Ft Davis Hammerfest - Sunday
San Felipe Road Race
Cinco de Mayo Road Race
Inez Road Race
Texas State Crit Championship
New Hope Classic RR
Cowtown Classic Criterium
Victory Circle Road Race
Mineral Wells Road Race
and so on. Should be easy to work through cat 5 by the end of June.
This should help
