Yesterday I saw girl coeds au natural at the easy up crossing. I was respectful and averted my eyes but still awkward. And I've seen sleeping guy before. Odd that he picks that spot to sleep.

I went under Bum Bridge Friday morning too and that guy was in the middle of the trail. He didn't move as I rode past. Maybe someone should check him for a pulse!
Is that construction behind Valero? It was sort of strange that the tire/tread scraped part followed the existing bike trail mostly. If that gets cut off for us we can always just come up from below the Brush Country bridge. It is a prime piece of land so I guess it's inevitable that they do something with it. I believe it is owned by the nursing home.
You wish.

I read this and could not quite picture what you were talking about. I have crossed Davis and gone up the driveway, but I always turn west towards Mopac. Today I stopped to look at what you were talking about. WHAT THE HELL?! What moron designed that? That is more than a curb at the end of the pathway. It's more like a short wall. That is a lawsuit in waiting. Seriously, it looks like it is designed to hurt people.
I rode over to look at what you were talking about. Yup, rude. I didn't see any branches but I did stop to move the big rocks. I was perplexed as to who would do that and the motive to do it. It can't be the land owners because they are happy with it. And it makes little sense for juvenile delinquents pulling a prank because it is too much work for the return. So then I thought it might be some long time user that is so upset with the changes that not only do they refuse to use the new bypasses, they don't want anyone else to use them either. sigh
Ain't people fascinating?
I saw a good person had done a bunch of weedeating in Dick Nichols park and Latta Greenbelt. I think more and more people are discovering the joy of just going out and doing trail maintenance without having to be in an "official" trail work day thing.
I hope whoever did that good work had two or three celebratory beers like you should after any good biking thing.
Speaking of needing some work, Bauerle Ranch and some of the Canterbury loop were a tad shaggy in spots. I thought Bauerle had an active trail steward group. I guess not.
There is a trail steward I am sure, But most trails are maintained by riders as they ride along with very few workdays. It is not unusual for many of us to pack a machete or a saw and trim away.
It is peak ragweed season and with the late rains it will be green and high for a while.
Folks have been wanting to help do some work on the trails. They ask me, "where can I do something?" I try to direct them to spots that need work. But I need some help directing that help.
Please post here if you know of an area that needs help. I'm referring to mostly grass trimming needs these days.
I saw that some more in Dick Nichols got done. The Inner Loop was just about obscured. Now it's good.
Hopefully the grow rate will start to slow soon so we can get caught up everywhere.
Okay, I'll start!
Bauerle needs some trimming. Start at the Lynnbrook bridge and go south and north. Both directions need help.
Is anyone going for crank and drank? I am about to roll out from my place near Stassney/1st
Almost everyone. 😒

I have a rare open Tuesday evening and thinking about doing the Crank and Drank. I know it's all in here in the last 47 pages, but can someone help with some key points for me?
It starts at 6, right?
Lights required or done before dark?
It's a pretty big group, right? Does it usually split up into smaller groups or stay together?
~20 people roll out together and groups form naturally. The fast kids sometimes see a rabbit and disappear into a puff of smoke leaving mere mortals to find their way back on their own while complementing switching to another hobby. I'm considering PokiMon.
How should I address people with unleashed, agressive dogs in Stephenson Preserve?
