A lot of people might think that baylor cycling advertisements is crap that they don't want posted evrywhere. You might have the right to expect the baylor forum to be about biking. Don't assume that you have the say in what is and isn't a waste of peoples time in other forums.

How about a Baylor Alumni board. As an Alumni...I check the Baylor board often...and I'm sure other alums do the same.

A specific board for alumni would give folks a place to check for events like the MS 150...or whatever.

I think you will notice that most people bitching have paid for bandwidth on this site. I notice you have not. I am just telling you to not spam every board. You deleted a thread that you didn't think would serve a purpose to your board. Here's some news - it's not your board. It's our board. Apparently you missed the point before when we posted about your spam so I was a little more crass. Sorry about that. Please do not spam.

You were not the only one to complain. But others do it too, and don't get jacked with for it.

I didn't complain to anybody but him. I thought that since he missed the point last time that a public address may work. Maybe not. I have not ever seen anyone spam that much, with the exception of the LoneStar 12 hour race guy. I pointed out he was a spammer too. You ready to meet up in Comfort in a few weeks???

    Oh yea, Comfort!
He just hit EVERY board, others limit theirs to certain forums. It's hard to limit some of it, but not all, not fair either.

Maybe since he had mod powers, he might want to delete some himself. Pretty shitty that a mod would not play by the rules. Unwritten or not.

    What weekend for Comfort?

It's a tricky area, delete which ones?? And what's the limit? How many forums to post in? And can't show favortism toward a group or individual.
Comfort opens on the 8th, but that's the Trail Doc's torture test weekend. First work day is the 15th.

I'll plan on the 15th. I wanted to celebrate for Alan and Karissa, but that may be TT weekend. Not sure. I may be in touch more.

I was referring to David(baylor biker) cleaning up some of the mess.

Cool. I knew you were talking about him. He just did what he though was right by his group. Hell, last year I spammed for the 150 for myself. Biker Chic did it this year. But she didn't hit every forum. It's tolerable, just pisses me off when I click on "New Posts" and it's a page of crap.

    MAN

I think you anyone that concerned with the content of threads in various forums should work on putting together a list of what exactly is ok and what isnt- that is, if you are going to carry on and make such a big deal. I was never told any of the things which seem to make you so angry before i joined.

The incident with deleting was something I did not know about. Once you "corrected" me I stopped deleting other people's threads (I'd like to delete this one, but will not).

I didn't realize "spamming" (or talking to multiple people at once) was going to rub you the wrong way. A while back I posted in mutliple areas about our uniform sales. I messaged admin because I was concerned that it might look as though I was trying to use bike mojo for commercial purposes. NOT ONLY did I receive the reply that it was ok for us to promote our uniform sales because we weren't an official shop or business, but ALSO was told it was no problem that I posted in several areas. i have been very pleased with the professional attitude and the support fo the bike mojo admin... i wish all of its users would attempt to be at least a little bit as reasonable.

I thought that several users outside of Waco and Texas might not check the whole state board every day. I assumed that it would be more effective to get the word out that our cycling team was inviting alumni to join us in a major event by addressing each city's group specifically.

If anyone is worried about space in the database, or the validity of a thread as it relates to cycling, I would encourage you to peruse some of the horse crap that pollutes a lot of the more-used and popular forums, threads which have nothing in the world to do with biking and serve as a means for people with nothing better to do but spend their time posting meaningless chatter on a bike forum.

My impression of bike mojo when i made a screenname was that it is a place for cyclists to discuss topics related to cycling, and for clubs and organizations to host discussion oon their particular events. I felt like the MS 150 alumni invite was pertinent to the cycling community as a whole, since alumni reside in all kinds of places, appropriate for bike mojo, since it is about riding freakin' bikes, and but a miniscule use of space compared to the multi-paged threads that carry on and on with links and attachments for porn, politics, personal messages, and so on.

I was never told that one had to pay to have the freedom to post pertinent bike-related threads on bike mojo. I'm sorry if the generousity of the admin in letting a collegiate club have a moderator at no cost ticks you off.

I am sorry if it really has really angered you that much that i chose to post multiple threads for our MS 150 team. In the future i will not "spam," not because i agree with any argument you make, but because I am tired of spending time typing long explanations defending our attempts to promote our club.

Go out and ride you bike more, start online word battles less.

The point is that you, maybe not knowing, did delete the thread. You continue to call senseless posts horse crap. It is a community, yes. We have made attempts to ride with you, and you have never showed up. I gave pedals to a guy on your team. I asked how they were working and never received the courtesy of a reply from him. That is not your fault. The point is, if it is that fucking selective, get your own fucking baylor board. No one in San Francisco gives a shit about your MS150 deal. You just cluttered the place up. You can go delete some of those threads. Just like you don't owe me an explanation, I don't owe you one. Try posting something cycling related that benefits anyone besides the baylor club in the other forums and you won't reap any shit. I have yet to see you post anything in any other board that was not spam. If that is the case, you really should stick with your baylor peeps. I don't intend to start a battle and hope we can ride, but I hate your spam. Rant off Have a happy holiday. We are riding Friday if you are in town.

I think the deleting issue is a dead one. We've already been through all that.

I only say "horse crap" (which seems to me more diffuse than the words you've used in refernce to my posts) because you are arguing that no one cares what I have to say and i am arguing right back that senseless threads are even less meaninglful to the majority of users. I AM NOT the one who suggested that the community atmosphere on bike mojo is no good... I AM NOT THE ONE who's complaining about anyone elses "senseless" posts. I still think my message to baylor alums (who can live in any city) is pertinent enough to enough people (just as your "senseless" posts are to others) that I'm not going to delete them. Write admin and have him delete them, or have him ask me to.

I am grateful for your invitations to ride, and I will turn up to one one of these days... I am busy like everyone else and unfortunately all the times youve offered I have been unable to ride... i miss a lot of rides around baylor, too. DO NOT try to spin that as an attempt on my part to snub anyone outside of my "baylor peeps." That's nonsense that just shows you're looking to be angry and not reasonable. And why should you really expect me to wanna ride with someone who calls my attempts at reaching out through offering alumni the chance to reconnect with the club "spamming all the goddamn boards", and cussing me out for deleting threads that contained demeaning remarks about Baylor and our club from our own club board????? As for the guy who didn't repsond about the pedals, you're right it's not my fault, but still I'm sorry about it and wish he would have, but again I wonder how that shows that I or any other Baylor cyclists are "fucking selective."

My point is that I don't agree that our message to alumni doesn't "benefit anyone else besides the baylor club" (it benefits alumni) AND that it really doesn't make sense that you get so mad about our occasional "spam" messages when pages of threads that have validity to even fewer people go by every day on some forums.

I don't see why you single out Baylor and me as a target or why you haven't raised hell about bikerchic, who posted in just about every place I did about the same event.

Please quit your ranting for good. Send a complaint to admin to have us delete threads, or have us kicked off bike mojo. I think all we're doing here is whining like a bunch of babies.

    Merry Christmas

Bikerchic has contributed way more to mojo than you can imagine. She does trail work and asks for and offers great deals of advice. By the way - what's her name??? If you don't know, don't cast stones at her. I don't recall her spamming every region, much less, every board.

    Likewise

Alright well I'm not spamming anymore, nor deleting.

I did not mean to insinuate bikerchic has nor right to post whatever she wants- I think she does as well as us, since we are all just trying to be part fo he cycling community. i have posted in Austin and general waco forums before when I'm in town, but I don't have time to post religiously in these areas. I'm sorry.

I can't ride friday because i'll be in dallas for christmas with the family. Do you ride road or just Mtn? I need someone to kick my ass on the trails so i can learn to go faster. Just can't this weekend.

What days are you going to be in Dallas? If you want to hook up for a ride just post when.
I noticed you had stickies for rides in other areas. If you post in those other areas boards you'll be more likely find someone to ride with.
