It's getting to be that time of year, so once again, I'll be resurrecting the Monday Night Mission Trail ride.
This year, we'll be meeting at Blue Star Brewery at 6:30 for a 6:45 roll-out. The 2005 innaugural ride will be on April 11.
As always, the pace will be as fast as the slowest rider who shows up. Distance is roughly 18 miles, out to Mission Espada and back, but feel free to turn back at any point for a shorter ride. If you want something longer, I can provide directions to give you up to a 35 mile loop.
And as an added bonus, Blue Star Brewery, along with it's new venture, Blue Star Bike Tours and Rentals*, will be providing food and drink specials for all cyclists after the ride.
* (sorry Sandy, shameless bike shop plug here)
Did you know that in addition to rentals, Blue Star Brewery is now an official distributor for Electra Bikes?!? You may have seen Dan's Rat Fink bike, but if not, I gotta say, their cruiser bikes are some of the funnest bikes Ive seen in some time! Check them out in person 1414 S. Alamo St. Blue Star even has a fairly well stocked bike shop upstairs, complete with parts, clothing, helmets, and accessories for their sole line of bikes! Their operations are still a bit rough as they iron things out, but I was pleasantly surprised, if not outright impressed to see the direction they've taken with their rental fleet.
