Bingo. The week before, we ran into some poor dude who got dropped and left behind at Mission Rd. and White. He had flatted out on a piece of glass, was in a hurry to try not to get dropped too far and subsequently shredded his replacement tube during the swap. By then, he was all but abandoned on the ride, left to walk the four miles back to Blue Star. We rolled up on the guy about 15 minutes after the pack abandoned him and got him going back on the road where he was able to complete the ride with us.

The fucksticks using this as a pretend race training ride* need to remember that this was started EIGHT years ago (and always ridden) as a no-drop ride. If you want to be billy bad ass racer boi, step up your game and hit the Tuesday Nighter or Wednesday La Tuna ride. Oh, wait, get dropped on those? Kinda shitty feeling, right, especially if you don't know where you're going? That's exactly what you're doing to the rest of the Monday folks who are out just looking for a fun ride.

*which is a joke in and of itself because if you were really training, Monday would be a recovery day after going hard/racing over the weekend.

Lets talk aboot bikes! I had to flip the stem over on my 29er to get it down. It was way to far above my hips. still kind of odd. 100mm on a 29er should be verboten <period>

Well, what do you expect from a bunch of hipster roadies? No big surprise here. Personally, I like the ride better because the waiting got to be more than the riding. So fuck me hard if I get tired of riders like you mentioned, George, who had no tube and means to change a flat even though he wasn't a newbie...so yeah, we stopped and helped him, and saved him a walk, but somehow I didn't feel all kinds of warm and fuzzy.

yeah the "group" ride thing in SA kinda bummed me out last year when i did it.

as a participant of the Houston "DEaTh RiDe" and the 6pm WE ride it's man up to keep up if you get dropped S O R R Y

the shop ride that i met mr.z and tobin for was some slow ass ride then sit and drink thing with george showing up from work to down some brews.

hey not knocking it but i was expecting some raw lungs and blown legs not some foo-foo ride with MS-150ers.

i'd bring my bike back up to SA when i'm in town on biz but would like a little bit "faster" bunch tho'
