Yep. We could do a family ride out there.

Not much opp for FR at this park, maybe one short jump/DH run with a ladder drop or two and some gaps. I have decided I'll start working out there to see what I can do. Also, going to start on the Brushy Creek Regional Trail towards the YMCA and Avery Ranch sections, farthest from my hood, but has the most real estate for trail and best elevation profile.

    Update:
There is a lot more trail out there. Not a whole lot of proper singletrack, but some. I did not check it all out, as I was running and not riding. I would guess there is probably another 2 miles not counting the trail that's actually within the long existing sports complex area and not counting the possibility of trail east of my run.

It's pretty flat unfortunately and mostly exposed. There is some skinny trail with cover, but not like we want. Obviously, I did not check out the eastern most area of the land, but I think I saw some singletrack heading that way...could have been a game trail - there are tons of game trails.
By the way, not sure if I mentioned this before, but the blue line in O is not a creek, but the water easement - WIDE clearing for the water line from LGT to Brushy Creek's plant.

Also, if you refer to the master plan attached above and checkout the park, you'll see they are steadily making progress.
C - the Park Dept Off is complete
K - the sprayground has been complete since the summer
Pretty sure a few others are done as well, but I didn't look around much after my trail run.

Next time I run there I'll try to make it during office hours and stop by the office to inquire about the next efforts.

Any new updates or information regarding trails out here or in Williamson County?

Office wasn't open when I ran there last time either, so I haven't made inquiries. I really don't think the terrain is varied enough to offer much technical riding/entertainment. Whatever is done out there will probably be pretty darn flat, which means it should at least be very fast - what's out there now can be hammered fast. My efforts are elsewhere, closer to home.

On a similar note, I saw that the proposed Master Plan for Garey Park SPECIFICALLY EXCLUDES MTB trails from the design - that sucks, that park/ranch would be awesome for MTB.
